Ranchers in Jhenaidah are creating great gain by developing cauliflower and cabbage in summer because of their gigantic interest among clients and high market cost.

Ranchers said that development of the vegetables starts in Ashar (June-July) and approximately 3,500 to 4,000 seedlings can be planted on per bigha of land.From establishing seedling to reap it assumes control more than 90 days and ranchers need to contribute around Tk 25,000 to 30,000 for per bigha while the vegetables yielded from the grounds can be sold over Tk 1000, 000, assisting them with procuring benefit by around Tk 70, 000.

Rancher Monirul Islam shared, "For this present year, regardless of outrageous intensity and weighty precipitation, we figured out how to advertise our cabbage in 90 days or less."By and large, ranchers yield around five tons of cabbage and three tons of cauliflower from per bigha.Parvez, a rancher from Lakshmipur town, said that seeds, composts, and pesticides cost around Tk 25,000 to 30,000 for per bigha.

Besides the ranchers procured Tk 50,000 to 60,000 benefit by selling cabbage from per bigha last year.Discount merchant Sirajul Islam said that the cost of cabbage relies upon market interest and size. This year, the size of the cabbages is marginally more modest.

Consequently he is purchasing the cabbage from ranchers at Tk 18 to 22 for every piece prior to sending them to Dhaka, he added.

Shashti Chandra Roy, delegate head of Division of Rural Expansion in Jhenaidah, said a sum of 5,429 hectares of land in the locale has been brought under cauliflower, cabbage, and different vegetables development.

He trusted that 17.12 metric lots of vegetables would be yielded from every hectare of land.A wide range of vegetables are developed in the slow time of year because of the great soil of the locale.
