The Nobel Harmony Prize-winning financial expert Muhammad Yunus has been confirmed as the top of Bangladesh's in-between time government, three days after State leader Sheik Hasina had to leave and escape to adjoining India.

Yunus, 84, made the vow during a function at the official royal residence in Dhaka on Thursday night that was gone to by political pioneers, common society pioneers, commanders and negotiators.

"I will maintain, support and safeguard the constitution," Yunus said as he was controlled the promise by President Mohammed Shahabuddin, adding that he will play out his obligations "truly".
